The final result of the Eurovision Song Contest: M\u00e5ns Zelmerl\u00f6w from Sweden wins and gets to show the OeWF and its Aouda spacesuit simulator to more than 200 million people. The \u201cpostcard\u201d, which ran before Sweden\u2019s song, was filmed in the giant ice caves of the Dachstein. <\/p>\n8<\/span> OeWF goes India: The Indian-born analog astronaut Kartik Kumar was spreading excitement about Mars analog research during a tour giving talks at schools in several Indian cities.<\/p>\n![\"S.H.E.E](\"https:\/\/oewf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/09_DLR_SHEE.jpg\")
<\/p>\n9<\/span> Analog-astronaut Carmen K\u00f6hler in the S.H.E.E. habitat in Cologne, Germany. S.H.E.E. stands for self-deployable habitat for extreme environments and has been developed and produced by a European Consortium led by the International Space University.<\/p>\n![\"DLR](\"https:\/\/oewf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/10_DLR_Outreach-600x400.jpg\")
<\/p>\n10<\/span> Once every two years, the German Aerospace Day takes place in Cologne, Germany. More than 60.000 visitors were able to learn about the OeWF\u2019s field of research. <\/p>\n11<\/span> The OeWF was also represented in at the European Rover Challenge in Poland. <\/p>\n12<\/span> The OeWF year was also a year for Mars pioneers! Not only the AMADEE-15 flight control team at the mission support center in Innsbruck, but all OeWF volunteers, scientists and long-time friends have contributed to pave the way for future human missions to Mars. Thank you!
