Arnold Sams is a member of the Ground Support\u00a0Team for MARS 2013. His many tasks include\u00a0rooming, boarding, and transportation of the\u00a0Mission Support Center members as well as\u00a0taking care of visitors. He lives in Salzburg.<\/p>\n

Space & MARS2013<\/h2>\n

How did you first get in touch with the topic of space \/ astronomy \/ analog research?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I watched the Moon landings as a child on TV.<\/em><\/p>\n

When did you first hear about the Austrian Space Forum (OeWF)?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Through the project AustroMars 2006.<\/em><\/p>\n

How did you learn about the \u201cMARS2013\u201d mission?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have been a member of the OeWF since 2010\u00a0and learned about MARS2013 through their\u00a0regular publications.<\/em><\/p>\n

What was your first impression when you got involved with the OeWF team? \u00a0 \u00a0 <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0Team: Total Effort by All Members<\/em><\/p>\n

What is your personal goal in this mission?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I would like to support the team with my\u00a0knowledge and experience as well as getting to\u00a0know new people and their work.<\/em><\/p>\n

What I do for a living:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I am a non-commissioned officer in the Austrian\u00a0Army.<\/em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

This is how I spend my spare time:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Reading, shooting my crossbow and playing golf \u00a0(if there is any time left).<\/em><\/p>\n

My first skydive was probably the most exiting\u00a0\u00a0thing in my life. And retrospectively very\u00a0comical: To jump out of an airplane on my FIRST\u00a0flight.<\/em><\/p>\n
