For the first time, members of the Austrian Space Forum get the opportunity to fund their ideas for small or medium-term projects up to 1,000 EUR with the pioneer projects challenge. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/oewf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/pionierprojekte01.jpg\" class=\"fancybox\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-8374\" src=\"https:\/\/oewf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/pionierprojekte01-600x339.jpg\" alt=\"pionierprojekte01\" width=\"600\" height=\"339\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oewf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/pionierprojekte01-600x339.jpg 600w, https:\/\/oewf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/pionierprojekte01-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/oewf.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/pionierprojekte01.jpg 795w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Background:<\/strong><br \/>\nPioneer Projects will cover <strong>small, medium term projects<\/strong>. The challenge aims to provide a chance for members to carry out ideas and initiatives as well as follow the life cycle of a typical project, beginning with the first idea and proposals to a final report.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>topics <\/strong>for the projects are not restricted, as long as they are <strong>within the goals and guidelines of the Austrian Space Forum:<\/strong> everything goes &#8211; starting from a school project, a new technical development for a field mission or ideas to recruit new members. The challenge is open only to members of the Austrian Space Forum. External project collaborators, partner organization and sponsoring are possible.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What will be offered?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>A budget of up to 1,000 EUR<\/li>\n<li>Use of the Forum&#8217;s infrastructure (workshops, IT-infrastructure, consulting (e.g legal team, media contacts, accounting&#8230;))<\/li>\n<li>Support towards internal and external communication<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Up to two projects will be funded.<\/strong> An international board (consisting of representatives of NASA and ESA) under Dr. Rudolf Albrecht (OeWF Senior Advisor) will select the winning projects.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Proposal have to be of the following format: <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>A maximum of three pages, provided in English, consisting of<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>One page:<br \/>\nTitle of Project, Name of project leader (with contact data) and team, Summary with aims and duration<\/li>\n<li>One page:<br \/>\nDescription of project, what is the scope and course of action, risks and gains, results\/impact<\/li>\n<li>One page:<br \/>\nOne page: budget, time table including important milestones<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Next steps:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Deadline: December 1st 2014, send proposals via <strong>email to <a href=\"mailto:pionierprojekte@oewf.org\">pionierprojekte@oewf.org<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Official announcement of winning projects: <strong>December 20th 2014<\/strong> (at the Forum&#8217;s Christmas party)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Run time of projects:<\/strong> January 1st 2015 until September 2015 (theForum&#8217;s &#8220;Zieleworkshop&#8221; &#8211; Annual meeting to define the main goals for the upcoming year)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you have a gripping idea for a small OeWF project which you want to realize?
