AMADEE-20 Science Workshop

After the field campaign of the AMADEE-20 expedition in the Israeli Negev-Desert, the data analysis of the 20+ experiments is about to conclude and we are cordially inviting both AMADEE-20 researchers, project team members and as well as external researchers to the final A-20 Science Workshop. This weekend will bring together scientists, engineers, flight controllers, analog astronauts and OSS team members and others who have contributed to this complex and interdisciplinary Mars analog simulation.

Experiment Presentations
We are inviting experimenters as well as A-20 MSC, CRW and OSS teams (and anyone interested in Mars analog research) to present their findings in a 20min (tbc) presentation (+5min Q&A):
- outlining the research questions and methodology
- present results and conclusions
- project the publication/dissemination strategy and potential for future data fusion
We kindly invite research teams to submit a 1-page abstract of their research projects no later than 25Mar2022 via email to: (cc: , ) in the following format:
- Title, Name(s)/Affiliations
- < 2500 characters max (incl. spaces)
- 2 images max.
Logistics
- Catering: There are several food options in the vicinity of the workshop venue. However, we will offer the chance to pre-order lunch meals on each morning (ca 10 €/meal, like pizza, vegetarian choices, sandwiches etc) to be delivered at lunch to the venue.
- COVID-measures: We will probably require 3G (vaccinated, recovered, or tested), to be checked upon arrival at the venue. FFP2 masks will be required during the sessions. – Changes to that will be announced in time to the registered participants.
- Online participation option is not foreseen.

Workshop Registration
The registration will open end of February online at amadee20.oewf.org and is open to the scientific community and anyone interested in mars analog research. To register, please fill-out the registrations form.
- Abstract submission deadline: 20Mar2022, 23:59 (template is provided at amadee20.oewf.org)
- Registration deadline: 25Mar2022, 23:59 CET
- Registration fee will be 30 € (20€ for students OeWF members) and covers workshop participation, abstract booklet / welcome package as well as snacks and drinks during breaks for the three days.
